The GMC team joined in the 2019 Ballina to Byron Bay Coastal Charity Walk. It began at Missingham Park in Ballina - then along the coast to Lennox Head, Broken Head, Tallows Beach and finally Cape Byron. It was a fun day as you can see by our photos - and we raised funds for the worthy Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter.

Former Lismore orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Neil Thompson has written the early history of the the local medical fraternity. Sawbones, Saddle Sores & Soothing Balms covers the 120 years from the arrival of medical practitioners in 1866 to the modern era.
Dr Ellie Kennedy has joined the medical team at Goonellabah Medical Centre. She consults on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Dr Kennedy has interests in womens' health, mental health and workers' compensation.

Alan Dyason is a GP registrar with an interest in all aspects of family and lifestyle medicine. He first connected with the Northern Rivers region while studying medicine, and has returned to settle here.
July 2018: Dr Andrew Binns, Dr Emily Yorston and Practice Manager Diane Kerr rode 50 kms at Kingscliff to help raise awareness for organ donation.
