Goonellabah Medical Centre had their team of walkers for the 2018 Westpac Chopper fundraiser. Well done team! All in the name of such a fantastic and necessary service for the Northern Rivers.
Information about Flu Vaccination
After a severe flu season in 2017, the National Influenza Vaccination Program has introduced changes for free flu vaccinations.
Free vaccination available for high risk groups. Included groups are:
- children from 6 months up to 5 years
- 5 years to adult with medical risk conditions
- all ATSI people age 15 and over
- pregnant women
- all adults aged 65 and over
Changes to the program include flu vaccines for children and a special high dose formulation for those aged over 65.
Ballina to Byron Bay Coastal Charity Walk 2018

The Coastal Charity Walk is a fundraiser for the important Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter.
This year, the walk will begin at Missingham Park in Ballina.
The distances are:
to Lennox Head - 13km
to Broken Head - 25km
to Byron Bay - 37km
