Andrew BinnsDr Andrew Binns is one of the founders of Gurgun Bulahnggelah (now Jullums AMS) and has been in general practice in Lismore since 1979. He is a medical contributor of the NorDocs magazine GPSpeak. He is also the inaugural chairman of the Australian Lifestyle Medicine Association and has always had an interest in lifestyle medicine. Dr Binns has co-authored two books with Prof Garry Egger, 'The Experts Weight Loss Guide' and 'Lifestyle Medicine' the latter of which had another co-author Swedish Prof Stephan Rossner. He has also in the past been medical director of the Palliative Care Unit at St Vincent's Hospital Lismore. He has launched his website Healthy Aspirations - addressing the determinants of health.

 

David GuestDr David Guest has clinical interests in the optimal management of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. He has an interest in the use of computers and the internet to improve patient management. His current projects are streamlining the Centre's Diabetes Clinic and better management of patients with chronic disease and the elderly patient at home.

 

Ruth TinkerDr Ruth Tinker has a particular interest in women's health and antenatal care. She assists in theatre weekly, and is also active in the Richmond Valley Clinical Society.

 

 

 

Elizabeth SkimmingsDr Elizabeth McGregor works as a General Practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. A foundation of Elizabeth’s work is the joy of truly meeting people. Elizabeth has a gentle, caring approach in her practice of Evidence- Based Medicine and this has led many clients to choose to see her for their women’s health, children’s health and heart and lung conditions. She sees people with sleep problems, anxiety and depression. Elizabeth also has experience working at a Skin Cancer Clinic and in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and to this brings first-hand experience as a mother.

 

 

Charlie HewDr Charles Hew works as a General Practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. Charles has special interests in musculoskeletal medicine, acupuncture and skin disorders. He uses Visiomed MicroDerm D120 equipment and software. Dr Hew has Masters of Medicine [UNI QLD] in the field of skin cancer and is an accredited doctor with the Skin Cancer College, Australasia. Please be aware that Dr Hew runs strictly to time - please be punctual to avoid a late or cancellation fee.

 

 

Laura TaylorDr Laura Taylor works as a General Practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. Laura enjoys the variety which general practice offers.She does have some special interests including paediatrics (she has a diploma in child health), women's health, sexual health and dermatology. From the 10/2/2020 Laura will work Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Monday and Wednesday 10am to 3.00pm and Friday - 10.00am to 1.00pm.

 

 

 

Timon JansenDr Timon Jansen is a GP who trained in Amsterdam. He is a fully qualified GP in Australia and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, plus has a Diploma in Sexual Health and Family Planning . He has a special interest in skin cancer treatment and managing and preventing chronic disease including diabetes and cardiovascular disease. He enjoys counseling on how changing lifestyle can radically change your health. He also performs minor surgical procedures including treating ingrown toenails and small lipomas. Timon will be going on 12 months leave beginning in February 2020.

 

 

Felicity BooyDr Felicity Booy is a general practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. Dr Booy is currently available for consultations Monday and Wednesday 9am to 2.00pm, Tuesday 9.00am to 3.00pm.

 

 

 

Emily YorstonDr Emily Yorston is a general practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. Dr Yorston is currently available for consultations from Tuesday to Friday.

 

 

 

Ellie KennedyDr Ellie Kennedy is a general practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. Dr Kennedy is currently available for consultations on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Dr Kennedy has interests in women's health, mental health and worker's compensation.

 

 

 

David GlendinningDr David Glendinning is a General Practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. He studied Medicine at the University of Wollongong, and moved to the Northern Rivers for a student placement. He and his family decided to stay in the area, with David working at Lismore Base Hospital before starting his GP training. He has a Diploma in Child Health, a Certificate in Emergency Medicine and works regularly in the local emergency departments. Prior to studying medicine he worked as an engineer and project manager. He provides support to the Local Health District for eHealth initiatives, and teaches and supervises medical students. His interests include:skin medicine/skin checks; chronic disease management; men’s and women’s health; child and adolescent health and pre-employment medicals. Dr Glendinning works on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

  

Dr Melissa LeeDr Melissa Lee is a General Practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. Dr Lee began as a GP registrar with GMC and has now completed her General Practice training qualifications. She works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

 

 

 

Cristina PenanuevaDr Cristina Penanueva is a general practice registrar at Goonellabah Medical Centre. Cristina now works Wednesdays and Thursdays.

 

 

 

Amelia JackAmelia Jack is a medical student on a 12-month rotation from the University of Wollongong. Her medical interests include obstetrics, women's health and paediatrics. Amelia says "Being placed at a general practice allows me to see a broad range of patients and presentations, which means I am constantly learning. I am really enjoying my placement at Goonellabah Medical Centre and look forward to the rest of my time here."

 

 

 

Justin ClarkJustin Clark is a medical student on a 12-month rotation from the University of Wollongong. He has interests in rural general practice, paediatrics and anaesthetics.
