Dr Ruth Tinker
Ruth Tinker has a particular interest in women’s health and antenatal care. She assists in theatre weekly, and is also active in the Richmond Valley Clinical Society. Ruth Tinker a Principal GP is one of the two executives of Goonellabah Medical Centre.

Dr David Glendinning
David Glendinning is a General Practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. He studied Medicine at the University of Wollongong, and moved to the Northern Rivers for a student placement. He and his family decided to stay in the area, with David working at Lismore Base Hospital before starting his GP training. He has a Diploma in Child Health, a Certificate in Emergency Medicine and works regularly in the local emergency departments.
Prior to studying medicine he worked as an engineer and project manager. He provides support to the Local Health District for eHealth initiatives, and teaches and supervises medical students. His interests include:skin medicine/skin checks; chronic disease management; men’s and women’s health; child and adolescent health and pre-employment medicals. David Glendinning works on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. David Glendinning is a Principal GP one of the two executives of Goonellabah Medical Centre. Dr Elizabeth McGregor
Elizabeth McGregor works as a General Practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. A foundation of Elizabeth’s work is the joy of truly meeting people. Elizabeth has a gentle, caring approach in her practice of Evidence- Based Medicine and this has led many clients to choose to see her for their women’s health, children’s health and heart and lung conditions. She sees people with sleep problems, anxiety and depression. Elizabeth also has experience working at a Skin Cancer Clinic and in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and to this brings first-hand experience as a mother.

Dr Charles Hew
Charles Hew works as a General Practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. Charles has special interests in musculoskeletal medicine, acupuncture and skin disorders. He uses Visiomed MicroDerm D120 equipment and software. Dr Hew has Masters of Medicine [UNI QLD] in the field of skin cancer and is an accredited doctor with the Skin Cancer College, Australasia. Please be aware that Charles Hew runs strictly to time – please be punctual to avoid a late or cancellation fee.

Dr Timon Jansen
Timon Jansen is a general practitioner at GMC. His hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3pm. Online bookings are available for Dr Jansen.
From Dr Jansen – “I studied Medicine in the Netherlands and did GP training there. Since 2012 I’ve lived and worked in Australia. I spent a few years travelling Australia in a caravan doing locum work along the way. I love being a GP due to the broad nature of it and that it focusses on the whole person. My special interests are skin cancer, lifestyle medicine and just helping people live their best life. I have done sexual health and family planning training and insert Mirena, Kylena and Implanon. “

Dr Ellie Kennedy
Ellie Kennedy is a general practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. Ellie Kennedy is currently available for consultations on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Ellie Kennedy has interests in women’s health, mental health and worker’s compensation. Please be aware that non-attendance willl incur a cancellation fee.

Dr Misha Hutton-Potts
Misha is a general practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre.
She has a background in adult medicine, and interest in chronic disease management and oncology.
Dr Misha Hutton-Potts is available for consultations on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Dr Robert McWilliam
Robert McWilliam is a General Practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. He has special interests in women’s health, general medicine, musculoskeletal medicine and skin cancer. Robert is a family man who hails from regional Queensland and is interested in meeting new people, travel, food and all manners of life experience. Online bookings are available for Dr McWilliam.

Dr Joseph Van Den Berg
Joseph Van Den Berg is a General Practitioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. Joseph is available for consultations on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Joseph grew up in this area and has now returned to the Northern Rivers region. Online bookings are available for Dr Van Den Berg.

Dr Courtney-Anne Blackhall
Courtney-Anne Blackhall is a General Practitioner , starting at Goonellabah Medical Centre on 1 May 2024. She has recently completed her training in the Northern Rivers and absolutely loves working with women and children. She is passionate about listening well and educating others about delirium. In her spare time you might find her at Parkrun on the weekends or in her garden growing flowers and vegetables. You might also hear her nervously practicing Dutch as she hopes to move to the Netherlands for a year in 2025!

Dr James Smyth
James is a general practioner at Goonellabah Medical Centre. He has relocated with his young family to the Northern Rivers from Sydney. James originally studied Economics at university before finding a passion to study Medicine.
James was drawn to General Practice because of the opportunity to practice ‘cradle-to-grave’ and preventative medicine. He graduated from the University of Wollongong in 2017 and during his rural placement he enjoyed a year training in Northern NSW. After hospital training, he completed his General Practice Speciality training (FRACGP) on the South Coast of NSW.
Until recently he has been living and working in Little Bay in Sydney. James enjoys all aspects of General Practice but retains a special interest in skin cancer medicine, including skin checks and minor skin cancer surgery. What he enjoys most about the job is getting to know people, families and their stories. In his spare time, you will probably find him on the golf course or chasing his two young children.

Dr Carolyn Condon
Carolyn Condon is a General Practice Registrar at Goonellabah Medical. Online bookings are available for Dr Condon.

Dr Katrina Tran
Katrina Tran is a General Practice Registrar at Goonellabah Medical. Online bookings are available for Dr Tran. Katrina studied and worked in Sydney before moving to the Northern Rivers for its lush scenery and friendly people. She is interested in all aspects of General Practice, including chronic health, paediatrics, women’s health and skin cancers.

Kate Hudson
Kate Hudson is a medical student from the University of Wollongong who is on rotation in General Practice. Kate is in her third year of study and will be spending twelve months with Goonellabah Medical Centre from July 2024 to June 2025.

Chloe Pacey
Chloe Pacey is a medical student from the University of Wollongong who is on rotation in General Practice. Chloe is in her third year of study and will be spending almost twelve months with Goonellabah Medical Centre from August 2024 to June 2025.

Megan Landers
Megan Landers is an AHPRA registered psychologist and an Adjunct Associate Professor with the School of Applied Psychology, Griffith University, QLD. Megan holds an Honours Degree and PhD in Psychology, is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, and is an approved provider under Medicare, DVA, NDIS, and other insurance schemes such as NRMA, EML etc.
Megan works with adolescents and adults to help manage a range of psychological issues, including depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict and/or distress, work-related challenges, grief and loss, adjustment to chronic illness, life and career role transitions, and behaviour change (promoting healthy behaviour in relation to smoking, alcohol consumption, physical activity and nutrition).
Megan has held teaching and research positions at leading national universities over the past 16 years. In her academic role she is responsible for the professional and research training of undergraduate and postgraduate psychology students. Megan’s therapeutic approach is solution-focused and draws on a number of evidence-based techniques, including: acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and exposure-based therapy.

Kirralee James
Kirralee James is a Credentialed Diabetes Educator and certified insulin pump trainer. Kirralee has an interest in helping individuals manage and cope with diabetes effectively through personalized guidance, education and support to empower people in making informed decisions about their health. With a focus on lifestyle modifications, medication management, weight loss strategies and diabetes technologies, Kirralee is passionate about equipping people who are living with diabetes with the tools needed to lead a healthy and fulfilling life.

Toby Wilson
Toby Wilson is a Psychologist with many years of experience helping individuals experiencing workplace conflict, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, inter-personal relationship conflict, grief and loss, chronic illness and physical injuries.He holds a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours and is a AHPRA Registered Psychologist and member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated (AAPI). He is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator.
He is accredited to provide psychological services under: WorkCover, NDIS, Commcare, DVA and Medicare schemes. He is a supportive therapist who utilises the following counselling techniques: cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, exposure based therapy, motivational interviewing, goal setting utilising SMART goal principles, grief and loss and assertiveness training.
In addition, he provides NDIS psycho-social behavioural needsassessments for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and is accredited to provide mediation services in regard to workplace disputes under WorkCover.
He has also provided organisational psychology assessments and reports for large corporations. He has provided psychometric assessment services and is experienced in the utilisation of psychometric tools. He has developed and presented group based psycho-education and mood management strategies in both corporate and disability settings.
He was a board member and then chairman of One Vision Productions from 2015-2020. One Vision Productions is a not-for-profit organisation giving voice to the disadvantaged youth of Australia through introducing arts based multi-literacy programs to isolated and marginalised communities.

Helen Hanslow
Helen Hanslow is a clinical hypnotherapist and neurolinguistic programming practitioner. Helen works with children, teenagers and adults. She has 20 years experience in both Government and community sectors. Helen works at Goonellabah Medical Centre on Saturdays.
